Review: Delectable Lies by Shauna Mairead

Description:

Never feed your fears, Saoirse, because if you do, they will eat you alive.

Those were the last words my mother uttered before the masked men arrived.

She begged me to run, to save myself from the past she kept hidden.

But here’s the thing, the past doesn’t stay buried forever, and somebody has to pay the price for the choices she made.

All the King’s horses and all the King’s men… He’s coming for me, and he’s out for revenge.

My opinion:

Delectable Lies by Shauna Mairead is a dark mafia romance. It’s the first book from the Kings of Killybegs series.

A dark, mysterious, and extremely sensual story. This book is filled with so many secrets and only a small part is revealed towards the end. The plot is addicting, once I started I couldn’t put it down. It’s a mix of new adult and mafia romance. The characters and their
dialogues are more mature than you’d expect and I really liked that. The chemistry between the three main characters was otherworldly. Liam appeared as the good boy who acted as a hero. Saoirse was the damsel in distress and Rohan the evil mysterious boy. By the end of the story, the lines are so blurred that you can’t figure out who is lying. My favorite part was the scene in the janitor’s closet.

I loved this book and I will rate it with 5 stars. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

My Favorite lines:

1)“Do you taste as good as you look?”
“That’s for me to know and for you to never find out.”

2)»Fuck me.»
“Buy me dinner, and I’ll think about it.”

Saoirse Ryan, Liam Devereux, Rohan King,Killybegs syndicate

3)Oh, well, the devil never knocks. He just waltzes right in. Consequences be damned.

4)Is that fear I see dancing in her depths? Yes, the pulsing vein in my cock confirms.
