I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Fool her once by Joanna Elm is a crime mystery/thriller.
It’s such an intriguing book. It started with a quite intense scene and it progressed steadily. In all the mysteries I have read it was difficult to point out the murderer but here it didn’t happen like that. From early on I could figure out that person and then I just tried to see what would happen next. But then came another surprise that changed everything. That huge twist that I never expected blew my mind. The suspense and all the gradual revelations sucked me in from the beginning till the end. The characters were interesting as well. Jenna was a good reporter and I admired her ethic when she was younger. But in general, I didn’t like her at all, she was kinda bitchy and stuck with her ex. The murderer on the other side was very sympathetic. There were times that I wanted him to be innocent or at least to escape from everything.
In conclusion, Fool her once is a unique book filled with surprises. I highly recommend it and I will rate it with 5 stars.
