Description:
Poor little rich girl thrown to the sharks.
Having everything, living the high life, it was only ever in the movies.
Until now. Until them.
After a summer away, I return to find my mother remarried, and a whole new family around her. Now I’m enrolled in the college for East Coast’s most elite; Saints U. Along with my new stepbrother and his friends.
Only he wasn’t my stepbrother the night we first met, and it’s too late to turn back the clock.
They can make me their number one target, insult me and play their wicked games, but I’ve met worse monsters in my time.
These boys might think they can ruin me, but I’ll show them I can make their world burn.
My opinion:
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Burn by Lily Wildhart is a dark romance. It’s the first book from The Saints of Serenity Falls series.
Briar Moore was excited for her first year in college since she was hoping for a new beginning. That changed when she was informed about her mother’s secret marriage, their move to Serenity Falls, and her attending Saints U. Her first night there her best friend convinced
her to go to a party. There she let loose and met three guys. She had such a good time with them but the next day she figured out who they were. Travis Kensington was her new stepbrother, Cole Beckett, and Sawyer St. Vincent were two of his best friends. Her hopes
for a quiet and uneventful year were disappearing by the minute. Their hot and cold attitudes were messing with her mind but she had endured the worst in her life and those boys weren’t going to be her downfall…
The phrase «Hot Mess Express» perfectly describes this book’s romance. One poor girl with four rich, dark, and mysterious boys. The story is mainly focused on the relationship between the characters but there are a few mentions of Briar’s past and a terrible incident that left me with many questions. The boys are so different from each other, Sawyer is the carefree, Asher
the emo, Cole the mysterious, and Travis the jerk. All of them are handsome and popular. I don’t know how to describe Briar she acted strangely for the most part. My favorite part was their first meeting and the cliffhanger at the end.
I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series. I will rate it with 4 stars.
