Review: Save Me by Stacey Kennedy

Description:

Reporter Hazel Rose has a new assignment: locate the masked man in the photograph taken at the Phoenix sex club and snag an interview with him. The only problem? Shy Hazel already knows all about the club… and the man in the photo. He’s her new roommate, Kieran Black. But there’s no way Hazel would ever reveal his identity to the world, nor could she ever talk to Kieran about a secret sex club. His smile alone makes her blush. And after being beaten down by an emotionally cruel ex-boyfriend, Hazel has never really regained her self-confidence.

Kieran loves his sex dirty and his relationships brief. A child of a terrible divorce, Kieran has never seen the point in commitment. But suddenly, all his of best friends are getting married, and he’s beginning to realize how empty his life is. As Kieran and Hazel are both forced to attend wedding celebrations, he starts to learn more about his quiet roommate. When she explains her past struggles with relationships, he offers her a trade. He’ll fulfill all of her wildest sexual fantasies if she’ll help him understand how to be the type of partner a woman wants in a relationship.

Hazel knows this sizzling fantasy with Kieran isn’t supposed to last, but she quickly finds herself falling for the sweet, caring Kieran who is much better at relationships than he believes. But when life throws a wrench into their no-strings-attached arrangement, Hazel and Kieran must decide if they’re both willing to overcome their past heartaches and find a way forward… together.

My opinion:

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Save me by Stacey Kennedy is an adult romance. It’s the third book from the Phoenix series.

Hazel Rose worked at StarGaze, the biggest tabloid gossip magazine in North America. Since her two best friends were getting married she couldn’t afford the loft on her own and she had to move immediately. Kieran Black the sexy firefighter and one of the four male friends told her to stay in his house for a while. Hazel accepted his kind offer. The next day he regretted his decision because he realized that there was intense sexual chemistry between them. Even though they both wanted each other they didn’t want to ruin their friendship. Of course, that would change soon. The moment Kieran found out about the problem with her love life
he wanted to help her gain confidence. So they made a deal, he would show her pleasure and she would keep his identity secret from her boss and teach him how to date. The night they spent at Phoenix changed everything. One of the biggest problems with their
situation was that Hazel was the type of woman who wanted a family but Kieran didn’t. Could they figure out a solution or they would destroy a beautiful friendship?

It’s such a wonderful story. I will start with the characters. Hazel was such a sweetheart with her caring personality and her kind heart. Kieran was caring and fierce. He protected with passion those he loved. Both were from horrible families and had their personal issues but together they were the perfect couple. The plot was incredible and easy to follow. I loved the mix between love and suspense. The erotic parts were extremely heated. My favorite parts were her first time at the club and their fake date.

I enjoyed reading this book and I will rate it with 5 stars.
